1008 Caldwell Avenue is one of the 12 South homes for sale right now, listed at $1,849,900 after two price cuts from an original list of $2,000,000. One thing I like about 12 South is how many ways there are to get around it. In 2023 the city finished the 12th Avenue South Complete and Green Street project. It added bike lanes that are physically protected from traffic along the whole route, safer crossings for people on foot, better bus stops, and green stormwater features. The project connects the 12th South, Edgehill, and Gulch areas and ties into Wedgewood Avenue and Division Street. WeGo's Route 17 bus runs along 12th Avenue South between downtown and the Hillsboro Transit Center in Green Hills. By car, downtown is roughly two to three miles north, depending on where you start. Belmont University sits right along the neighborhood's west side, near Belmont Boulevard and Wedgewood Avenue. For a lot of the people I work with, that is the appeal of 12 South Nashville. It feels like a small neighborhood, but you are close to the rest of the city whenever you need it.
